We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Head of Business Development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development, with a passion for identifying and securing new business opportunities. This role involves developing strategic partnerships, fostering client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

We’re a digital design and marketing agency based in Scotland. We specialise in creating and marketing innovative digital solutions. For over a decade, we’ve been helping businesses turn screens into brand showcases. You’ll be a champion of processes, just as happy setting out a spreadsheet as you are working through a to-do list. You’ll have a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving brain.

With this being a client-facing role, you’ll be fine chatting with clients over our live channels, as well as conducting calls with them. You’ll have a healthy dose of patience and be confident answering questions and enquiries.

What you’ll be up to:

  • Identify and Target New Business Opportunities: Generate leads and expand our client base through strategic prospecting.
  • Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Create and execute effective sales plans to achieve business growth objectives.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research to identify market trends, competitors, and potential growth areas.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work with internal teams to develop compelling proposals, presentations, and sales materials.
  • Networking and Industry Engagement: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to generate leads and promote our services.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of market dynamics and emerging opportunities to stay competitive.

Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts to track progress and evaluate performance.

What we’re looking for:

We’re primarily looking for someone who is motivated to roll up their sleeves and get to work. Industry experience is optional, but many of these skills are transferable.

We’re on the lookout for someone who has:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a strong drive for results.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Google Workspace.


  • Salary of £45,000, which would increase to £50,000 after a successful probation period of three months
  • Company Bonus 10% of salary once company goals are met or at the company’s discretion
  • Service Bonus of £1,000 per annum paid into your monthly salary up to 5 years / £5,000
  • We operate on a flexible hours system. That means that while your usual hours will be during normal business hours, you have plenty of flexibility within that. Want to take a long lunch break? No worries. Do your best work at 6 am? Go for it.
  • We’re a fully remote team, so no 8 am commutes into work
  • Work hard, play hard – we offer a minimum of 34 holidays a year (2 weeks of which can be taken over Christmas) 
  • You’ll also get an extra day off for your birthday, so no awkward work birthday parties
  • We have a monthly all-team meeting, which ends in a monthly all-team social
  • We supply any remote working tools and equipment you need
  • You’ll also get full private BUPA Healthcare coverage
  • We’re a pension-providing employer


We will pay 5% of your monthly salary when 50% of the target is met and 10% when the full target has been met. We will also pay an extra 5% for all revenue above target. Every month, our target is £100,000 in new business, and we generate enough leads to meet this target. The commission is unlimited. Commissions are paid monthly.
